Old quartz movement catalog "Spaceline" I'm not sure at all that this was the official NASA quartz movements, but enjoy this good old marketting !

For me Longines was the best choice. Not too posh but enough good to be proud to wear it... The Hydroconquest was the fine model for me because I do a lot of watersports. I think swiss watches have better finish than asian watches... specially for the case... I have choosen the mechanical version for more value and the steel strap who is more confortable, in my opinion...

Longines m'a parut le meilleur choix pour l'achat d'une montre sport homme. C'est une marque avec une histoire très riche et un passé industriel honorable. Leur modèle Hydroconquest me convenait tout particulièrement car j'ai pratiqué la plongée et que je fais toujours de la natation et de l'aviron.

Je pense que Longines se situe à une bonne moyenne entre Rolex et Tissot. Pour moi porter une Rolex n'aurais pas été judicieux car je m'estime encore trop jeune (30 ans) pour ce genre de montres. J'avais envie d'une marque plus dynamique...

J'avais envie de quelque chose de plus classe et spécial que Tissot bien que je soie un fan de cette marque du Locle dont je convoite le modèle or et réserve de marche.

Je n'avais pas envie d'une montre asiatique non plus car j'estime que la finition et la qualité des boîtes est supérieure dans les modèles Suisses...

Je me suis donc dirigé vers la Longines Hydroconquest que je porte pour ma plus grande satisfaction depuis 2 mois. Elle tient parfaitement l'heure. Aucunes rayes pour l'instant. Du solide.

J'ai choisis une boîte de 41 mm (plus grande, correspondant à ma corpulence) et un bracelet acier pour le confort (je trouve bien plus confortable).

Le choix de la couleur a été difficile mais je pense qu'avec un cadran noir et une lunette rouge l'on a un contraste intéressant et qui donne du pep à la montre et qui donne envie de la porter pour entreprendre des choses nouvelles ou bien commencer une bonne journée.

Le mouvement mécanique est recommandé notamment car une montre mécanique suisse garde plus de valeur.

BONCOURT is a village in the Swiss Jura.

The landscape is typically hills, fields, and pine-trees.You will find a lot of mushrooms in autumn.

Lost in the hills, Môtiers is a very peaceful village that has been one one of the most important city of the area in the middle age. Today you can find there many interesting constructions of the 15, 16, 17 century. The village is damn cute and the hike there are fantastic and famous for hundreds of years! By the way, this village host the manufacture Bovet Fleurier. The place is also the birthplace of theAbsinthe who is the ansestor of the french "Pastis". The Absinthe was a popular drink in the 1800-1900 and was made in the region.You better don't smoke when you drink pure Absinthe...
They have also their local "Champagne" vine  that is a long tradition in Motier. Maybe you can taste it. It's called "Mauler"   https://www.mauler.ch/fr/

Longines

Longines facilites are located in their traditional born aera: The Jura hills, St-Imier ! I could discover this amazing factory on my way to the ski shores. I stopped after a nice ski day and shooted this photos. Great to see a watch legent like Longines still in his historical (and beautiful) landscape !

Fabrique Longines, St-Imier. Située dans son berceau d'origine, la fabrique Longine respecte la tradition commencée en 1832 par Auguste Agassiz. C'est en allant au ski que j'ai découvert cette magnifique manufacture dans son écrin naturel qu'est le Jura suisse avec ses collines et ses forêts.
