Lost in the hills, Môtiers is a very
peaceful village that has been one one of the most important city of the
area in the middle age. Today you can find there many interesting constructions
of the 15, 16, 17 century. The village is
damn cute and the
hike there are fantastic and famous
for hundreds of years! By the way, this village host the manufacture Bovet Fleurier. The place is also
the birthplace of
theAbsinthe who is the ansestor of the french "Pastis". The Absinthe was a popular drink in the 1800-1900 and was made in the region.You better don't smoke when you drink pure Absinthe...
They have also their local "Champagne" vine that is a long tradition in Motier. Maybe you can taste it. It's called "Mauler"
