Boncourt, the swiss-Jura...

BONCOURT is a village in the Swiss Jura.

The Jura is also a Swiss aerial famous for his machine industry and watchmaking. You may know some historic brands like Maurice Lacroix, Schaublin machines, Jura Watches, Longines...
The landscape is typically hills, fields, and pine-trees.You will find a lot of mushrooms in autumn.

MOTIERS, Neuchâtel, Switzerland

Lost in the hills, Môtiers is a very peaceful village that has been one one of the most important city of the area in the middle age. Today you can find there many interesting constructions of the 15, 16, 17 century. The village is damn cute and the hike there are fantastic and famous for hundreds of years! By the way, this village host the manufacture Bovet Fleurier. The place is also the birthplace of theAbsinthe who is the ansestor of the french "Pastis". The Absinthe was a popular drink in the 1800-1900 and was made in the region.You better don't smoke when you drink pure Absinthe...
They have also their local "Champagne" vine  that is a long tradition in Motier. Maybe you can taste it. It's called "Mauler"   https://www.mauler.ch/fr/

Longines

Longines facilites are located in their traditional born aera: The Jura hills, St-Imier ! I could discover this amazing factory on my way to the ski shores. I stopped after a nice ski day and shooted this photos. Great to see a watch legent like Longines still in his historical (and beautiful) landscape !

Fabrique Longines, St-Imier. Située dans son berceau d'origine, la fabrique Longine respecte la tradition commencée en 1832 par Auguste Agassiz. C'est en allant au ski que j'ai découvert cette magnifique manufacture dans son écrin naturel qu'est le Jura suisse avec ses collines et ses forêts.

More amazing Artists



Here we have a good example about what swiss artist can do: This man is living in the Swiss countryside (you are never far from Geneva or Zurich) and does his creation with old style technique: drawing the lines on the block of wood and grind it by hand! That could be the next piece for your living-room!
